Looking to extend on their recent boost away in the Midlands this weekend, Brighton will make the trip to West Brom on Saturday afternoon.

Failing to bounce back from what was a stunning 1-0 defeat away at rock-bottom Derby when signing off 2021, the ex-Barnsley boss has seen his side fail to win any of their last three Championship contests. Now dropping consecutive points against Cardiff, Derby and Barnsley, it should also be noted that Saturday’s hosts have won just a pair of their last nine matchups, a run that stems back to November 3rd. Now appearing a real outside pick to clinch an automatic Premier League return this year, West Brom could be in for another tough test in the Midlands this weekend.
As for the visitors, managing to open the New Year with what was an action-packed 3-2 win away at Everton, there is no doubt that the mood in Brighton’s camp should be at a real high. Finding a way to build off of an eye-catching 1-1 draw away at defending European champions Chelsea on December 29th, the Seagulls still find themselves firmly battling it out in the top-half of the table. Mustering seven points from their last three Premier League contests, it should also be noted that Graham Potter’s men have lost just one of their previous seven matchups across all formats, a run that stems back to November 20th. Unbeaten in their last four contests away from the Amex, Brighton should be smelling a golden chance here. Given West Brom’s recent blip, we’re backing an away victory here at attractive odds.
