Preparations for the upcoming summer transfer window are already underway at Real Madrid, with the club’s management actively scouting to reinforce the squad ahead of the new season. According to a report from the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, the Santiago Bernabéu is poised for a period of significant activity in the market.
The club has reportedly solidified plans for two specific acquisitions. The first involves securing the return of Argentine midfielder Nico Paz from his loan spell. Real Madrid is prepared to pay 9 million euros to his current club, Como, to bring back the talented international, who has already featured for the first team and is considered one of the most promising prospects in Italy. Furthermore, Brazilian striker Endrick, who is currently on loan at Lyon and delivering impressive performances in France, is also slated to return to the Spanish capital at the end of the current campaign.
Strategic Reinforcements Across Key Positions
Looking beyond these two confirmed targets, the club’s hierarchy has identified several critical areas requiring strengthening. A primary focus lies on the defensive line, specifically the center-back position. This need is driven by the impending departures of David Alaba and Antonio Rüdiger, whose contracts are set to expire. While Alaba’s exit is considered certain, Rüdiger’s future remains uncertain; should he stay, he would likely transition to a backup role. Several names have been linked, though none appear to be close to finalizing a move at this stage.

Another priority for the Merengues is the acquisition of a creative, central midfielder to address a perceived lack of inventiveness in the current engine room. Vitinha of Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly the preferred option, but a transfer is deemed highly improbable. Consequently, the club is also monitoring Manchester City‘s Rodri closely. Other midfielders linked with a potential move include Enzo Fernández, Alexis Mac Allister, and the young talents Adam Wharton and Kees Smit.
The full-back positions may also see reinforcements this summer. With the future of veteran right-back Dani Carvajal unclear, the club could enter the market for a player in that role. On the opposite flank, the potential departures of both Ferland Mendy and Fran García would necessitate the signing of a new left-back.

In addition to the confirmed exit of Alaba and the uncertain situations surrounding Rüdiger and Carvajal, the report concludes that other players, such as Dani Ceballos, Gonzalo García, and Eduardo Camavinga, could also potentially depart Real Madrid during the upcoming transfer period.
