Nebraska maintained its dominant position atop the NCAA women’s college volleyball rankings in Week 10, securing a unanimous 63 first-place votes in the AVCA Coaches Poll. The Huskers extended their remarkable winning streak to 23 consecutive victories following decisive sweeps over both Michigan and Michigan State during their road trip.

Nebraska Remains No. 1 as Pitt Climbs to No. 2

Behind Nebraska, Pittsburgh rose to the No. 2 spot after riding a seven-match winning streak. The Panthers delivered straight-set sweeps against Wake Forest and NC State last week, powered in part by Kentucky transfer Jordyn Dailey, who accumulated an impressive 22 blocks across four contests.

While Nebraska and Pitt held their ground, other teams experienced shifts in the rankings. Michigan State endured a challenging week, dropping two matches. Notably, they squandered a 2-0 set advantage to fall to No. 19 Indiana in a five-set thriller before being swept by Nebraska. These results caused the Spartans to fall out of the weekly poll entirely.

Indiana’s comeback victory elevated them to tie with Vanderbilt at No. 21. Meanwhile, the top five featured Louisville, Florida, and SMU, while Colorado broke into the rankings at No. 25.

Looking ahead, Nebraska prepares for a significant road test against No. 12 Oregon in Eugene, a matchup expected to challenge the Huskers’ resilience as they pursue another win on the road.
