The Atlanta Dream have managed to halt a troubling five-game losing streak, securing two wins in their last three outings as they prepare to face the Toronto Tempo tonight. Currently ranked fifth, Atlanta is regaining momentum after a challenging stretch, boosted by the outstanding performances of third-year standout Angel Reese.

Reese, known for her consistent double-doubles, recorded her 16th of the season during Monday’s 101-92 victory over Los Angeles. Her impactful play was instrumental in securing the win, a fact acknowledged by head coach Karl Smesko, who praised her for delivering “big emotional plays that gave us the energy to close it out.”

Toronto Tempo Struggles to Find Stability

Meanwhile, the Toronto Tempo, a team introduced to the league in 2026, are grappling with their own difficulties. Entering the weekend, they carry a shaky 2-5 record at home and an overall 10-14 mark. The Tempo’s recent performance has been inconsistent, with a narrow 93-91 victory over the No. 7 New York team on Sunday followed by a heavy 79-62 loss to No. 8 Washington on Tuesday.

Tempo coach Sandy Brondello reflected on the challenges faced against the young Mystics squad, noting, “They were just a handful for us. We have to prepare to put up a little bit more resistance next game.”

Tonight’s matchup, set for 7:30 PM ET and broadcast live on ION, will see Atlanta aiming to build on their recent resurgence as they visit Toronto’s home court, where the Tempo are eager to reverse their fortunes and regain consistency.
