In a significant move during the NCAA women’s basketball transfer period, Audi Crooks has officially committed to Oklahoma State for the 2026/27 season, departing from Iowa State. Standing at 6-foot-3, Crooks is one of the most notable transfers this spring, bringing her impressive skill set to the Big 12 conference.
Audi Crooks Leaves Iowa State for New Challenge
After a record-breaking junior year at Iowa State, where she averaged 25.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per game with an outstanding 64.9% shooting accuracy, Crooks sought a fresh environment that would emphasize growth and competition. Her remarkable scoring placed her second nationally, earning her a spot on the Associated Press All-American Second Team. During that season, she delivered four 40-point games and capped it off with a 37-point performance in Iowa State’s NCAA Tournament first-round loss to Syracuse.
Choosing Oklahoma State, Crooks prioritized a team culture that could support her style of play, particularly players who can space the floor and coaches who push her to improve. Head coach Jacie Hoyt made a memorable impression by showing Crooks a compilation of missed layups, signaling a commitment to challenge her and foster development.
Reflecting on her departure, Crooks expressed deep respect and affection for the Iowa State program and its coaching staff but emphasized the need for this change. “I have a lot of love and care for those people and I always will,” she said, underscoring the thoughtful nature of her decision to seek new opportunities at Oklahoma State.
