As NBA 2K27 Season 2 prepares to launch this Friday, Caitlin Clark will once again take center stage. Earlier this year, the Indiana Fever guard earned the distinction of being the Deluxe Edition athlete on the game’s cover, and now she returns to co-headline the latest update, highlighting the growing presence of WNBA talent alongside NBA stars.
Indiana Athletes Take Spotlight in NBA 2K27 Season 2
Clark shares the Season 2 spotlight with Tyrese Haliburton, the Indiana Pacers point guard. Haliburton missed the entire 2025/26 season due to an Achilles injury sustained in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. This collaboration connects both of Indiana’s professional basketball franchises to the new season update, underscoring the state’s notable basketball presence.
Alongside Clark, another familiar Indiana Fever player, Kelsey Mitchell, features prominently in NBA 2K27’s MyCAREER unlockables. Mitchell, who led the Fever in scoring this season with an average of 24.7 points per game and an impressive 45% three-point shooting percentage, is included among 80 free unlockable characters available across the game’s MyCAREER and MyTEAM modes.
Clark has been a driving force for the Fever, posting 22.3 points and a team-best 8.3 assists per game, complementing Mitchell’s scoring prowess. Together, these two guards have propelled the Indiana Fever to become the league’s top-scoring offense this season, a fact now reflected in their prominent representation in NBA 2K27 Season 2.
