Chelsea emphatically ended their three-game winless streak in the Premier League by overwhelming Bournemouth 5-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The match began spectacularly for Chelsea, with veteran midfielder Jordan Henderson scoring his first goal for the club just 68 seconds in, curling a precise shot that set the tone for the afternoon.

Only two minutes later, the Blues doubled their lead when Morgan Rogers unleashed a shot that deflected off Bournemouth defender Antonio Silva, sending the ball into the net.

As the teams returned from halftime, Chelsea quickly extended their advantage. Joao Pedro converted a clinical finish in the 46th minute, capitalizing on an assist from Pedro Neto.

Dominance Maintained Despite Bournemouth’s Response

Bournemouth managed to pull one back midway through the second half. Evanilson found the net in the 51st minute by turning in a loose clearance from Moises Caicedo, marking the 22nd consecutive Premier League game in which Chelsea failed to keep a clean sheet.

However, any hope of a comeback was quickly extinguished when Joao Pedro scored his second goal of the match in the 67th minute, slotting the ball home from close range to make it 4-1.

Henderson capped off the victory with a powerful free-kick three minutes later, securing his second goal of the day and bringing Chelsea’s total to 23 goals in just eight games across all competitions this season.

This commanding performance not only handed Chelsea a much-needed victory but also showcased their attacking prowess under the guidance of manager Xabi Alonso.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Aston Villa continued to struggle as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Brentford at Villa Park. Brentford’s Yehor Yarmoliuk opened the scoring in the 10th minute, with Nicolas Jackson equalizing for Villa shortly after.
