Kevin De Bruyne delivered a commanding performance as Belgium secured a 3-0 victory over Turkiye in their UEFA Nations League clash held in Liège.

The Napoli midfielder, marking his 127th appearance for Belgium, opened the scoring with a composed finish from the edge of the box. His goal followed a slick one-two exchange with Dodi Lukebakio, setting the tone early in the match. Despite Belgium’s initial threat, Turkiye responded with increased attacking intent but struggled to carve out clear opportunities.

De Bruyne’s Influence and Lukaku’s Sealing Goal

After the opener, Turkiye threatened more frequently but failed to capitalize on their forward momentum. De Bruyne quickly doubled Belgium’s advantage, curling a precise shot past Turkiye’s goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir into the top corner, demonstrating his technical prowess and composure under pressure.

The third and final goal came from Romelu Lukaku, Belgium’s all-time leading scorer, who entered the game as a substitute for Lukebakio. A low cross from Charles De Ketelaere found Lukaku in close proximity to the goal, allowing him to slot the ball past Cakir and secure Belgium’s commanding win.

For Turkiye, this defeat marked their third loss in as many matches within the group, compounding their struggle in the competition. Meanwhile, Belgium’s victory brings them just one point behind Group A1 leaders France, intensifying the race at the top of the standings.
