The highly anticipated film adaptation of Elden Ring, directed by Alex Garland, has officially completed production and is now moving into post-production ahead of its scheduled release in March 2028.
Although neither A24 nor Bandai Namco have formally confirmed the completion of filming, the milestone was inadvertently disclosed through an Instagram post by prop artist Sean Schofield. The post, now deleted, featured an image of gifts presented to the production team—a branded backpack and a clapperboard keychain—alongside a heartfelt thank-you letter signed by Garland and producers Allon Reich, Matthew Penry-Davey, Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, and Charlie Reed.
The letter expressed gratitude for the cast and crew’s dedication: “Dear cast and crew, thank you for your incredibly hard work on Elden Ring. Your skill, dedication, and all-round professionalism were integral in bringing this unique project to life. We wish you a well-earned rest. Thank you and very best wishes, Alex, Allon, Matthew, Peter, Andrew and Charlie.”
Following the leak, Schofield removed the post and set his Instagram account to private, making the details no longer publicly accessible.

Production on the Elden Ring movie began in late April, accompanied by announcements revealing the release date and the casting lineup. The project, under the direction of Garland, features Kit Connor in a leading role.
