Seattle Reign FC drew first blood when Maddie Mercado found the net in the 19th minute, giving the visitors an early advantage. However, Racing Louisville responded before halftime, with Sears capitalizing on a precise assist from Lauren Milliet to equalize in the 35th minute.
Shortly after the break, the duo connected once again. Milliet delivered a low cross that Sears expertly finished in the 52nd minute, completing the comeback and ultimately securing the win for Louisville.
