The Chicago Sky have officially prohibited Enes Kanter Freedom from attending any of their home games at Wintrust Arena following a heated sideline incident with guard Natasha Cloud during a recent WNBA contest against the Indiana Fever.

During the third quarter of the game, the former NBA center, known for his controversial stance on transgender issues, was seen wearing a shirt emblazoned with the phrase “WOMAN noun. adult human female.” This caught the attention of Cloud, who exchanged words with Kanter Freedom from his seat.

Confrontation Escalates on the Sidelines

As the quarter neared its end, with 1:22 remaining, Cloud scored and then turned to confront Kanter Freedom, shouting in his direction. In response, he rose from his seat, spread his arms wide, and stepped toward the court, provoking a swift reaction from security personnel who promptly escorted him out of the arena.

Following the incident, Sky owner Michael Alter released a statement on Tuesday confirming the ban. He characterized Kanter Freedom as someone who “has the potential to be a threat” and criticized his actions as deliberately provocative attempts to draw attention.

Alter further remarked on Kanter Freedom’s claim that he had not crossed the baseline, dismissing it as trivial and emphasizing that such behavior was unacceptable regardless of that technicality.
