Rookie stars Karlyn Pickens and Reese Atwood from the Carolina Blaze currently lead the fan voting for the 2026 Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) All-Star Cup, with less than a week remaining to cast ballots.

Pickens, who was the first overall selection in the 2026 College Draft, dominates the pitcher category. She boasts an impressive 1.47 earned run average (ERA) and holds the record for the fastest pitch in league history for the Blaze. Despite her lead, the competition remains fierce, with Montana Fouts and Sam Landry closely following behind with ERAs of 1.81 and 1.15, respectively. All three pitchers are strong contenders for a spot in the professional softball league’s upcoming All-Star tournament.

Behind the plate, Atwood has made an equally significant impact. The former Texas Longhorn is delivering a stellar performance with a slash line of .450/.522/1.000, placing her within the Top 10 for both on-base and slugging percentages. Through the early part of the season, she has already contributed three home runs and seven RBIs to the Carolina Blaze’s campaign.
