Alejandro Garnacho has officially joined Aston Villa on a season-long loan from Premier League rivals Chelsea, a move confirmed on Jeudi. The young winger becomes Villa’s fourth acquisition this summer, following the signings of Johan Manzambi, Joao Gomes, and Modou Keba Cisse as the club prepares for their Europa League campaign.
The 22-year-old’s transfer comes after Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso recently indicated that Garnacho would not be assured regular playing time at Stamford Bridge. This decision influenced the player’s choice to seek opportunities elsewhere to advance his career.
New Chapter at Aston Villa
Last season, Garnacho struggled to make a significant impact at Chelsea after his high-profile move from Manchester United. Despite featuring in 43 matches across all competitions, he managed to score only eight goals. His arrival at Aston Villa is seen as a fresh start under the guidance of manager Unai Emery, who expressed enthusiasm about the signing.

Meanwhile, Chelsea recently finalized a club-record deal for Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, signing the player for £117 million ($156 million), marking a significant transaction between the two Premier League clubs this summer.
