The Las Vegas Aces dominated the Golden State Valkyries with a commanding 92-73 victory on Sunday, propelled by an outstanding performance from Jackie Young. Young’s efficient shooting and playmaking led the Aces to yet another impressive win in their recent surge.

Young’s stat line was remarkable as she converted 9 of her 12 field goal attempts, including three three-pointers, while maintaining flawless ball control by not committing a single turnover. Additionally, her five assists elevated her past Becky Hammon into second place on the Aces’ all-time assists leaderboard, reaching a career total of 1,136. Only Chelsea “Point Gawd” Gray remains ahead, extending her lead with nine assists on Sunday to push her total to 1,179.

Balanced Attack Fuels Aces’ Winning Streak

Alongside Young’s brilliance, A’ja Wilson delivered a near double-double effort with 19 points and nine rebounds, anchoring the team’s inside presence. Gray added 15 points and nine assists, contributing significantly to the offense. Supporting the core duo, NaLyssa Smith and reserve Jewell Loyd each scored 14 points, helping to create a well-rounded offensive front that proved too much for the Valkyries to handle.

With this victory, the Aces improve to 12-4 on the season, having won eight of their last nine games. Their consistent excellence has solidified their position among the top contenders in the WNBA this year.

On the other side, the Golden State Valkyries struggled to find their rhythm, particularly from beyond the arc. Despite Cecilia Zandalasini’s team-high 12 points, the Valkyries faltered significantly in perimeter shooting, missing 19 of their first 20 three-point attempts. This shooting slump contributed to their 10-7 record after Sunday’s defeat.
