The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) has made significant strides in preparing for the upcoming 2026-27 season by appointing business directors for its four new expansion teams, as well as for the established New York Sirens team. These key hires will oversee all aspects of local business operations, including ticket sales, fan engagement, and community relations.

Each expansion market—Detroit, Hamilton, Las Vegas, and San Jose—now has dedicated leadership to drive the teams’ off-ice growth and community presence ahead of their inaugural seasons.

PWHL Appoints 2026 Expansion Team Business Operation Leaders

Alicia Mullin has been selected to lead business operations for the Detroit expansion team. Mullin brings extensive experience from Major League Baseball, where she served for 15 years in various business roles, including vice president. Her most recent position was Chief Operating Officer of the American Cornhole League.

In the Bay Area, Chris Jensen will head the San Jose team’s business efforts. A native of San Jose, Jensen’s background includes overseeing group ticket sales for both the Golden State Warriors and the San Jose Sharks, bringing valuable local insight and industry knowledge.

Marian Agyei-Gyamera has been appointed to manage operations for the Hamilton expansion team. She joins the PWHL following her time with the Toronto Marlies, where she contributed to the organization’s success culminating in the 2026 Calder Cup championship.

Las Vegas’ expansion team welcomes Sheri Hudspeth, who offers over 30 years of experience in sports. Her career has included significant involvement in the growth of women’s sports, positioning her well to lead the new franchise’s business initiatives.

Additionally, the New York Sirens, one of the original PWHL teams, have also named a business director to strengthen their operational framework ahead of the new season.

As the PWHL continues to expand, these appointments mark essential steps in ensuring that the league’s off-ice infrastructure matches its on-ice ambitions. The newly hired directors will play pivotal roles in cultivating strong local fan bases and fostering community connections in their respective markets.
