Four new athletes—Taylor Bigby, Mikayla Blakes, Aerial Powers, and Madison Scott—have been added to the USA women’s basketball roster for the remainder of the 2026 FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series season. These players are set to represent the United States at the upcoming Tokyo stop on August 1st.
The fresh additions come after a formidable run by the previous lineup, which demonstrated impressive dominance across multiple tournaments.
Veteran Presence and New Faces Highlight USA’s 3×3 Squad
The earlier roster, featuring Joyce Edwards, MiLaysia Fulwiley, Mikaylah Williams, and Sahara Williams, captured back-to-back titles in Chengdu and Manila. Their success peaked with a gold medal at the June 2026 FIBA 3×3 World Cup.
Frequent roster changes are common in the 3×3 circuit due to scheduling conflicts with the WNBA and the necessity for players to accumulate FIBA ranking points. Despite these rotations, two of the newly incorporated players bring prior 3×3 experience with USA Basketball.
Madison Scott participated in three Women’s Series events in 2023 and contributed to a US team that went 15-2 at the Nations League Americas Conference. Similarly, Taylor Bigby played a key role in the 2025 Nations League squad, which finished with a 14-2 record and secured the Americas Conference championship.
Meanwhile, Mikayla Blakes and Aerial Powers are making their debut in the 3×3 format. Powers last appeared in a USA Basketball jersey during previous competitions but is now stepping into the 3×3 arena for the first time.
