PepsiCo, the parent company of Gatorade, has announced a voluntary recall affecting more than 122,000 cases of the popular sports drink across 37 states. The recall comes after the discovery of undeclared food colorings in four specific Gatorade flavors, prompting concerns over potential allergic reactions.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classified this recall as a Class II recall, which indicates that exposure to the product may result in temporary or medically reversible health effects, although serious consequences are considered unlikely. The undeclared dyes involved are Yellow No. 5 and Yellow No. 6, commonly used color additives that, if not properly disclosed, can pose risks to individuals with sensitivities.
