At the recent Bilibili World 2026 event in Shanghai, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, unveiled significant updates regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), including fresh details about the eagerly awaited ‘X-Men’ movie. The film is set to make its MCU debut shortly after the release of ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, currently scheduled for December 27, 2027.

Marvel’s Mutants Set to Enter the MCU

Feige expressed his long-standing passion for the X-Men franchise, emphasizing that bringing these iconic characters into the MCU has been a dream he has nurtured for many years. He shared glimpses of Marvel’s future slate, including official artwork for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, which precedes ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, and confirmed that the X-Men film will follow closely after these major releases.

Speaking to an excited audience, Feige said, “I can’t wait for all of you to see ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ We have a movie after that called ‘Avengers: Secret Wars,’ and after that the mutants are coming and the X-Men are coming. That’s been a dream of mine. I started with the X-Men many, many years ago and to bring a new version into the MCU is going to be very exciting.”

This official confirmation sets clear expectations for fans eagerly awaiting the mutants’ integration into the MCU narrative, placing the X-Men’s arrival soon after one of the most anticipated Avengers chapters.
