Dominik Livakovic, the experienced Croatian goalkeeper, has officially joined Barcelona, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2030. The 31-year-old shot-stopper completed his medical examination recently, and Barcelona confirmed the signing after reaching an agreement with Fenerbahce for a transfer fee reported to be two million euros, with an additional half a million euros in potential add-ons.
Arriving in Barcelona just yesterday, Livakovic strengthens the goalkeeping options under coach Flick. He joins Joan García and Szczesny in the squad, following the loan departure of Marc-André ter Stegen to Míchel’s Ajax, as the German goalkeeper was no longer part of Flick’s plans.
Veteran Presence Between the Posts
Livakovic brings considerable experience to Barça’s goal. Over his career, he has accumulated 310 appearances with Dinamo Zagreb and 108 with NK Zagreb. He also played 74 matches for Fenerbahce, the club from which he has now transferred. Additionally, Livakovic spent a brief loan spell at Girona during the 2025-26 season, further adding to his professional résumé.
