The LPGA Tour has announced its ambitious 2027 schedule, featuring 33 tournaments across multiple continents and a record-breaking total prize fund of $147 million. This marks a significant step forward for women’s professional golf, combining a more streamlined itinerary with increased financial incentives.
Designed to minimize player fatigue and enhance the quality of competition, the 2027 calendar includes stops in 11 countries and 13 states throughout the United States. The season is structured to incorporate two Asian segments and one European swing, broadening the global footprint of the tour.
Strategic Enhancements and Financial Growth
Commissioner Craig Kessler highlighted the progress made in optimizing travel logistics, venue selection, and prize pools. Beyond the higher stakes at major championships, the LPGA has allocated over $94 million to non-major events, an increase of nearly $12 million compared to previous years. This financial boost aims to elevate the entire tour rather than focusing solely on the marquee tournaments.
Additionally, 20 of the scheduled events will provide players with valuable benefits such as housing and travel assistance, reflecting a commitment to supporting athletes both on and off the course. These improvements are expected to enhance player experience and performance throughout a demanding season.
