The future of the LPGA Cincinnati event in Ohio has become uncertain following the withdrawal of its two major sponsors. Both Kroger and Procter & Gamble, companies headquartered in Cincinnati, have decided not to renew their sponsorship agreements after supporting the tournament for five consecutive years since its inception in 2022.

A spokesperson for Kroger commented on the decision, stating, “After thoughtful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to focus our efforts in other areas that align with our long-term priorities.”

Adjustments Ahead for the 2026 LPGA Tour Schedule

In light of these developments, the LPGA has yet to confirm whether it will maintain its Tour stop in the Cincinnati region. Communications coordinator Matt Jesus indicated that the league is concentrating on broader strategic changes rather than immediate commitments to specific venues.

“We’re focused on meaningful improvements in routing, courses, and purses,” Jesus explained, noting that more information about the 2027 LPGA Tour schedule will be released later this fall.

Recently held at Cincinnati’s Maketewah Country Club, the tournament crowned England’s Lottie Woad as the 2026 champion. Despite offering a $2 million prize purse—the lowest among U.S.-based LPGA events this season—the Kroger Queen City Championship continued to enjoy solid local backing, boasting 45 corporate partners listed on its website leading into this year’s competition.
