Manchester United has officially secured the signing of Carlos Baleba from Brighton and Hove Albion, bolstering their midfield options ahead of the new season. The 22-year-old midfielder becomes the third addition to United’s midfield roster during this summer transfer window.
The Premier League giants announced the acquisition with a statement confirming Baleba’s arrival, pending registration formalities. The transfer reportedly cost £70 million ($95 million), pushing United’s total expenditure on midfield reinforcements past the £150 million mark this summer.
Baleba will join forces with Youri Tielemans from Belgium and Brazil’s Andrey Santos, forming a fresh midfield lineup following the departure of veteran Casemiro at the end of last season.
