Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak expressed strong confidence that the club will successfully prove their innocence after reportedly being found guilty of over 100 breaches of Premier League financial regulations. The club, backed by Abu Dhabi interests, has consistently denied all charges. A spokesperson reaffirmed that their stance remains unchanged, and it is anticipated that City will challenge the findings through an appeal if the allegations are confirmed.
Mubarak’s Firm Stance Amid Ongoing Process
In an open letter released on Saturday, Khaldoon Al Mubarak maintained a resolute tone, emphasizing his belief that the club will be exonerated. “The Premier League process still has a long way to run, and our confidence and intent in proving the club’s innocence is just as strong as when this began,” Mubarak wrote. He also hinted at undisclosed information supporting the club’s position, expressing a desire to reveal more details when permitted.
Furthermore, Mubarak acknowledged the presence of external forces attempting to destabilize the club’s progress but made clear that Manchester City would not allow such efforts to succeed.
