However, the visitors found renewed energy in injury time, sparked by a strike from Portuguese midfielder Vitinha in the first added minute. This goal injected hope into Luis Enrique’s squad and set the stage for a remarkable comeback.
Late Drama in Northern France
Following Vitinha’s goal, PSG pressed relentlessly, and it was their captain, Marquinhos, who completed the turnaround with a powerful header in the final moments. This last-gasp equaliser denied Lille victory and dealt a harsh blow to their new coach, Davide Ancelotti, who had recently worked alongside Marquinhos as part of the Brazil coaching staff at the World Cup.
