The Nebraska women’s volleyball team maintained its unblemished record in NCAA competition by sweeping Penn State in straight sets, 25-20, 25-17, 25-18, at Rec Hall on Thursday. This victory marked the Huskers’ third consecutive win in Big Ten play and extended their season undefeated.

Another significant achievement accompanied this win as head coach Dani Busboom Kelly secured her 250th career victory in just 295 matches. This milestone places her as the fourth-fastest coach to reach 250 wins in NCAA volleyball history, underscoring her rapid rise within the sport.

Dominant Performance Highlights Team Effort

From the outset, Nebraska demonstrated offensive precision and defensive strength. Harper Murray led the attack with 13 kills, boasting a .400 hitting percentage, and contributed defensively with four blocks and two service aces. Complementing her effort, Andi Jackson recorded 11 kills on an exceptional .625 hitting rate, while adding seven blocks to bolster the front line.

Setter Bergen Reilly orchestrated the offense efficiently, delivering 34 assists and securing 16 digs. Her performance earned her the 46th double-double of her collegiate career, and with 4,145 career assists, she rose into the top three all-time assist leaders in the Husker volleyball program.

As a collective unit, Nebraska posted an impressive .419 hitting percentage, effectively suppressing Penn State’s offense to just .230. Despite a competitive first set, the Huskers expanded the margin in the following frames, showcasing their resilience and tactical execution. This road victory also extended Nebraska’s winning streak away from home to 21 matches, ranking among the longest in women’s college volleyball history.
