Her athletic progression continued through her university years at Macquarie University in Sydney, where she achieved podium finishes at the UniSport Nationals. In 2023, she secured a spot on the podium in the 1500 meters event and later captured a bronze medal in the 800 meters during the April competition.
Alongside her athletic pursuits, Ward was completing a degree in Exercise and Sports Science. Demonstrating her commitment beyond personal achievement, she co-founded Bayview Runners, a coaching initiative aimed at supporting and mentoring younger athletes.
