Ruoning Yin ended a two-year LPGA title drought by capturing the 2026 FM Championship at TPC Boston on Sunday. Delivering a composed final round under challenging breezy conditions, Yin carded a 2-under 70 to secure her sixth career LPGA victory, finishing two strokes clear of the competition.

Yin’s decisive move came on the back nine, where a 25-foot birdie putt on the par-5 12th hole propelled her to the top of a 144-player field. Maintaining steady play throughout the closing holes, she parred five consecutive holes before closing with another birdie on the 18th, effectively sealing her triumph.
In contrast, Hyo Joo Kim faltered late in the round with a three-putt bogey on the par-3 16th hole, followed by a missed 7-foot birdie opportunity on 17, which diminished her chances of overtaking Yin.
Yin reflected on her breakthrough win, stating, “I think this one definitely boosts my confidence a little bit. I just want to enjoy the moment.” Her victory marked a significant milestone since her last LPGA triumph at the 2024 Maybank Championship.
Rounding out the leaderboard, Allisen Corpuz posted a strong final-round 68 to finish third at 11-under, while Rose Zhang and Sei Young Kim shared fourth place. Despite the competitive field, Yin’s performance stood out as the defining storyline of the tournament.
Speaking on the support that contributed to her success, Yin acknowledged the role of her team and family, particularly her mother, who was present at TPC Boston. “It’s just been so long since my last win,” she added. “I know I work hard and also my team, my mom is here. Just everything comes together.”
