Next week, millions of Social Security beneficiaries across the United States will receive their June 2026 monthly payments as the Social Security Administration (SSA) adheres to its established distribution calendar.
June Payment Schedule and Eligibility
Out of the 71.1 million Social Security recipients nationwide, payments are staggered across the month based on beneficiaries’ birth dates. Those born between the 11th and 20th of any month are set to receive their benefits on Wednesday, June 17, which is the third Wednesday of the month.
The full payment schedule for June 2026 is as follows:
- Recipients born on the 1st through 10th will be paid on Wednesday, June 10
- Those born from the 11th to 20th will receive payments on Wednesday, June 17
- Individuals born between the 21st and 31st will be paid on Wednesday, June 24
It is important to note that if a beneficiary claims Social Security based on another individual’s work record, the SSA schedules payments according to that person’s birth date, not the claimant’s.
Earlier in the month, on June 3, some long-term Social Security beneficiaries who enrolled before May 1997 received their payments. This early date applies regardless of the recipient’s birth date, distinguishing these older beneficiaries from the general payment schedule.
