The Social Security Administration (SSA) is set to distribute the next installment of monthly benefits this week, marking the continuation of its payment schedule for June 2026. This distribution initiates the cycle of payments occurring on three Wednesdays throughout the month.

In the United States, approximately 71 million individuals receive Social Security benefits, with payment dates assigned according to their birth dates. The payments on Wednesday, June 10, the second Wednesday of the month, will be directed to beneficiaries born between the 1st and 10th days of any month.

Payment Schedule for June 2026

The full schedule for June’s Social Security payments is organized as follows:

  • Recipients born from the 1st to the 10th: Wednesday, June 10
  • Recipients born from the 11th to the 20th: Wednesday, June 17
  • Recipients born from the 21st to the 31st: Wednesday, June 24

It is important to note that for those receiving benefits based on another person’s employment record, the SSA uses the other individual’s date of birth to determine the payment date.

Additional Payment Dates in June

  • June 3: Payments issued to certain long-term Social Security beneficiaries.

This early June payment targets beneficiaries who enrolled before May 1997.
