Tottenham Hotspur have secured the services of Egyptian international Omar Marmoush on a season-long loan from Manchester City, with a binding agreement to finalize the transfer permanently next summer. The 27-year-old forward’s arrival marks a significant addition to Spurs’ attacking options as he moves to north London following an 18-month stint at City.
During his time at Manchester City, Marmoush featured in 62 matches across all competitions and netted 16 goals. His impact in the Premier League was immediate; notably, he scored a hat-trick in a commanding 4-0 win over Newcastle United in February 2025. Furthermore, his spectacular goal against Bournemouth earned him the prestigious Premier League Goal of the Season award.
Transition and Expectations at Tottenham
Marmoush’s journey to Manchester City began in January 2025 when he transferred from Eintracht Frankfurt, following a strong period in the German Bundesliga. His contributions were instrumental in City’s triumphs last season, helping the club lift both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.
Expressing his enthusiasm about the new chapter, Marmoush stated, “It feels amazing to be here.
