The ongoing negotiations concerning Vinicius Jr.‘s contract renewal are reportedly advancing, following a productive meeting held today between Roc Nation agents and representatives from Real Madrid. The agency, which manages both Vinicius and Yan Diomande, met in Madrid to discuss the futures of the two players, delivering promising updates on both fronts.

According to sources cited by MARCA, an agreement with Leipzig regarding the Ivory Coast forward Diomande is nearing completion. Simultaneously, significant headway was made toward finalizing the long-anticipated extension for Vinicius, whose current contract is set to expire on June 30 of this year.

Progress Amidst Contract Uncertainties

Vinicius, who has been training under the guidance of new coach José Mourinho for the past three days, expressed a calm and positive attitude in his initial remarks to the club’s official channels. Despite this, the renewal process has been stalled for nearly a year. Although previous discussions had brought the parties close to an agreement, no substantial steps were taken until now.

The situation remains delicate, as Real Madrid faces the challenge of negotiating with a player who, as of January, will be free to enter talks with other clubs. This looming deadline adds urgency to the negotiations, making the advancements achieved in today’s meeting especially noteworthy for the club.
