Tickets for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game in Chicago have surged past $200 as anticipation builds for this weekend’s event at the United Center. Entry prices have reached an average of $233, a significant jump from last year’s $71 face value when the game was held in Indiana.
The soaring ticket prices reflect unprecedented demand, particularly on resale platforms. SeatGeek reports that order volume for the All-Star Game has tripled compared to the previous year, with buyers shelling out an average of $431 per ticket. Similarly, StubHub reveals sales for the WNBA All-Star Weekend are running eight times higher than they were in 2022, the last time Chicago hosted the event.
Strong Interest Despite Local Absences
Interestingly, this surge in ticket demand comes even though no players from the home team, the Chicago Sky, have been selected as All-Stars. The Sky’s current season stands at 9-18 following the trade of Angel Reese before the start of 2026, which may have impacted local representation.
Nevertheless, the All-Star roster remains packed with marquee names that continue to draw fans. Standout players such as Paige Bueckers, Caitlin Clark, A’ja Wilson, and Breanna Stewart are set to compete on Saturday, maintaining high interest in the game.
Beyond the main event, Friday’s 3-Point Contest has sparked its own buzz, fueled by social media comments from players. Kayla McBride of Minnesota took to Instagram to express frustration over receiving what she described as a “half a** invite” just days before the competition. Meanwhile, Sabrina Ionescu publicly stated she never received an official invitation to participate in the contest.
