In a thrilling overtime showdown, the Indiana Fever overcame the Chicago Sky with a final score of 114-106, delivering an electrifying performance on Thursday night. The WNBA Commissioner’s Cup game saw career-best numbers from several players and a remarkable second-half rally that pushed the contest into extra time.

Sydney Taylor and Skylar Diggins Spark Chicago’s Rally

Despite the defeat, Sydney Taylor stood out for the Sky, recording a career-high 30 points in just 21 minutes off the bench. Her efficient shooting, making 71.4% of her field goal attempts, helped power a dominant 39-point third quarter that erased Indiana’s early advantage. Taylor became only the second player in WNBA history to score 30 points in such limited playing time.

The Sky initially found themselves trailing by 13 points following the opening quarter but fought back with determination. Veteran guard Skylar Diggins contributed 21 points overall, with 16 coming after halftime. Her clutch three-pointer with just 0.9 seconds remaining in regulation knotted the game and forced overtime.

However, despite the Sky’s spirited comeback, the Fever managed to regain control in the extra period and secure the victory on their home court.

Aliyah Boston led the victorious Fever squad, playing a pivotal role in their success alongside the historic efforts of Taylor and Caitlin Clark, who also made WNBA history during the intense matchup.
