Last night, the No. 2 Las Vegas Aces secured a decisive 99-84 victory over the No. 6 Dallas Wings, concluding their regular-season series with Dallas holding a 2-1 advantage. Despite the loss, the Wings have demonstrated offensive strength throughout the season.
Paige Bueckers delivered an impressive 25 points against the Aces, continuing her strong form following her record-breaking achievement earlier this week. On Monday, Bueckers became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 1,000 career points during Dallas’s narrow 112-110 win over Seattle.
Reflecting on this milestone, Bueckers credited the support system that has helped her overcome numerous challenges. “I think it’s المزيد a testament to who’s helped me get here, the village that helped me get here, the story, the adversity that a lot of people helped me overcome,” she explained.
On the other side, the Las Vegas Aces leaned heavily on their star, A’ja Wilson, the reigning MVP, who dominated the game with 32 points and nine rebounds. Her performance was key in controlling the Wings’ offense and ensuring the Aces’ win.
Coach Becky Hammon praised Wilson’s impact, noting, “She makes a lot of things look easy out there. I knew she was locked in — she came in in her white tee.”
Beyond Wilson’s leadership, Las Vegas received a significant contribution from their bench, which combined for 31 points. This boost was especially valuable given the continued absence of guard Chennedy Carter, who missed her fifth consecutive game due to an undisclosed illness.
Upcoming CBS WNBA Doubleheader
Both teams will return to action this Sunday for a CBS doubleheader. The Wings aim to regroup as they prepare to face No. 1 Minnesota at 2 PM ET, while the Aces will also compete in the same broadcast slot, continuing their push in the league standings.
