Crystal Palace continues to strengthen its squad and pursue new signings this summer, amid a series of notable transfer developments and strategic plans ahead of the upcoming season.

The club is actively monitoring Celtic’s Arne Engels, a 22-year-old winger who has caught the attention of several English clubs. Valued at over €25 million, Engels has contributed 7 goals and 8 assists across 46 appearances last season. Both Palace and Nottingham Forest are competing to secure his signature, with Forest reportedly considering him as a potential replacement for Elliot Anderson. Palace, however, aim to persuade Engels to favor their offer.

Transfer Targets and Loan Moves

In addition to Engels, Palace is leading a competitive race for the services of Lassine Sinayoko, the Mali international striker from AJ Auxerre. Sinayoko impressed in Ligue 1 last season by netting 12 goals and providing 4 assists. While Auxerre is demanding a transfer fee in excess of €15 million, the player is reportedly open to a move. Palace currently outrank Leeds United, Everton, and Fulham in pursuit of the forward.

The club is also exploring another loan arrangement for Matheus França. His previous loan spell at Vasco da Gama did not yield the expected progress, but interest has resurfaced from former coach Fernando Diniz, who now manages Corinthians and is keen to bring França to the Brazilian side. Palace have yet to initiate formal talks regarding this potential loan extension.

Meanwhile, Palace and Fulham find themselves in direct competition over a La Liga defender, both clubs eager to finalize a deal during this transfer window.

Amid these developments, Lens sporting director Benjamin Parrot has publicly addressed the departure of Pierre Sage to Crystal Palace, emphasizing that the transfer was conducted without any bitterness or hard feelings. His remarks dispel any suggestions of conflict surrounding the move, reflecting a professional understanding between the clubs.

Adding to the optimistic atmosphere at Selhurst Park, newly signed defender Chadi Riad has expressed confidence in the squad’s potential, highlighting the team’s recent successes which include winning the FA Cup, Community Shield, and UEFA Conference League. Riad praised the players’ dedication and set ambitious goals for future trophies, asserting that “Crystal Palace have no limits.”
