The scoring commenced in the 36th minute when Mostafa Ziko found the back of the net, setting the tone for the Pharaohs’ dominant display. Shortly after the break, at the 49th minute, Omar Marmoush doubled the lead, marking his first competitive international goal since netting for Manchester City against Crystal Palace on 13 May.
Egypt’s relentless offensive surge
The momentum continued as Ibrahim Adel extended Egypt’s advantage in the 75th minute, capitalizing on a precise assist from Marwan Attia to make it 3-0. Marmoush reappeared on the scoresheet eight minutes later, pushing the tally to four for the visitors.
In stoppage time, substitute forward Hamza Abdelkarim, currently with Barcelona, sealed the emphatic victory by netting Egypt’s fifth goal, marking his maiden international score for his country.
With this result, Egypt has accumulated four points in the group, having secured a goalless draw against Angola in their opening match, while maintaining a clean sheet for the second consecutive game.
