The highly anticipated sequel The Batman II has revealed its first visual teaser, offering fans a rare glimpse of Robert Pattinson reprising his role as the Dark Knight. Director Matt Reeves shared a new camera test via his official Vimeo account, showcasing a moody, atmospheric scene that captures Batman standing in falling snow, before turning to reveal the film’s official logo.

This brief but striking footage, shared on Reeves’ X (formerly Twitter) page, marks the first concrete look at the sequel since its announcement, underscoring the shadowy tone that has defined the franchise. However, the excitement is tempered by news of another delay in the movie’s release schedule.

Release Pushed to 2028

At the conclusion of the camera test, a new release date was confirmed, moving the film’s premiere from octobre 1, 2027, to février 18, 2028. This postponement means fans will have to wait over three additional months to see Pattinson return as Gotham’s vigilante hero, extending the gap between the original movie and its follow-up to nearly six years.

Information about The Batman II remains scarce, but it is known that alongside Robert Pattinson, the cast will include Andy Serkis reprising his role as Alfred and Jeffrey Wright returning as Commissioner Gordon. The film also brings in notable actors such as Scarlett Johansson, Charles Dance, and Sebastian Stan, with early speculation suggesting Stan may portray a member of the Dent family.

While fans eagerly await further announcements, this latest glimpse into the project confirms that Reeves is continuing to build on the dark, immersive world established in the first film, with a fresh chapter set to unfold in early 2028.
