Conor McGregor has broken his silence following his abruptly ended return to the UFC, which lasted less than a minute before a leg injury forced him to withdraw from his bout against Max Holloway. Despite the fight being officially ruled a victory for Holloway, McGregor has publicly contested the result.
Taking to social media, McGregor called for the outcome to be overturned, asserting that the fight should be declared a no contest and that all bets placed on the match be refunded. His statement underlined his dissatisfaction with the official decision, emphasizing the premature nature of his exit due to injury.
McGregor Awaits Medical Scan Results This Thursday
In a late-night update, McGregor shared information about the status of his injured leg, revealing that he expects to receive the full results of medical scans on Thursday. He reiterated his position that the fight’s result does not reflect the circumstances and should therefore be nullified.
He stated: “A few notes. One: I’ll have the results of the scan on my leg tomorrow. Two: the fight should be a No Contest and all bets returned.”
Currently, McGregor’s professional record reflects this bout as a loss, a frustrating mark after a five-year hiatus from competition. His much-anticipated comeback was cut short almost immediately, underscoring the challenges he faced in returning to the Octagon.
