Netflix has announced a new immersive event for fans of the animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters, set to debut at its Netflix House locations in Dallas and Philadelphia. This interactive attraction invites attendees to step inside the vibrant universe of the movie, offering a unique opportunity to experience the world of the fictional K-Pop group HUNTR/X firsthand.
Under the title KPop Demon Hunters: The Immersive Experience, visitors will begin their journey backstage with HUNTR/X, just before the band’s latest world tour performance. The event promises a lively atmosphere where fans can sing and dance along to the film’s soundtrack, accompanied by live actors and specially crafted animations that bring the story to life beyond the screen.
Bringing Characters to Life
One of the highlights of the experience is the chance to interact with beloved characters such as Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird. Derpy Tiger’s presence is especially notable, as the character is realized through a collaboration with the renowned Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, adding a tangible dimension to the fantastical figure. This blend of puppetry and animation enriches the immersive setting, making the fictional world more accessible to fans.
Marian Lee, Netflix’s Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized the importance of creating a space where fandoms can fully engage with their favorite stories. She explained that “Netflix House is where fandoms like this get to live year-round,” making it an ideal venue to satisfy the enthusiasm of KPop Demon Hunters supporters. Lee highlighted the experience’s attention to detail, from singing well-known songs to facing off with demons and spending time with iconic characters, all designed to allow fans of all ages to see, hear, and feel the film’s universe as they have imagined it.
