As November progresses, the Social Security Administration (SSA) is actively managing its payment schedule for 2026, covering key benefit programs across the United States. Among the five planned payment runs this month, the agency is currently completing the second distribution cycle for both Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits.

The payments encompass a range of Social Security benefits, including retirement, disability, and survivor benefits, alongside the SSI program designed for low-income individuals aged 65 and over or those with disabilities.

Early SSI Payments and November Distributions

Notably, SSI recipients received their November benefits ahead of schedule, with payments disbursed on Friday, October 30, just before the new month began. This early release was prompted by the fact that November 1 fell on a Sunday, deviating from the usual first-of-the-month payment date.

Administered by the SSA but distinct from Social Security, the SSI program supports more than 7.3 million recipients nationwide, who receive an average monthly payment of $735.86, according to the latest SSA data. Unlike Social Security, which bases eligibility partly on employment history, SSI qualification is determined independently of work records.

Following the early SSI payments, the SSA scheduled the next distribution for Tuesday, November 3. This payment targets Social Security beneficiaries who began receiving benefits prior to May 1997. It also applies to recipients who are dual beneficiaries, claiming both Social Security and SSI concurrently.
