Chelsea has secured the future of attacking midfielder Cole Palmer with a contract extension that will keep the England international at Stamford Bridge until 2034, the Premier League club confirmed on Saturday.

Since his arrival from Manchester City in 2023, the 24-year-old has established himself as a vital presence in the squad, registering an impressive tally of 91 goals in 138 appearances across all competitions. His contributions have helped Chelsea lift prestigious trophies, including the Club World Cup and the UEFA Conference League.

Cole Palmer expressed his enthusiasm about the new deal, highlighting the confidence instilled by the club’s owners, sporting directors, and manager. “Speaking to the owners, to the sporting directors and obviously the manager, they gave me a lot of confidence so it was only right to sign,” Palmer said. He also emphasized the shared ambitions within the team, remarking, “Speaking to players as well, everyone has the same ambitions. I feel like we win major trophies here consistently.”

Building a Long-Term Core

This contract extension is part of Chelsea’s broader strategy to secure its key players and promising talents on long-term deals. Forward Joao Pedro recently committed to the club until 2034, while winger Pedro Neto signed a six-year contract last month. These moves reflect the club’s intent to stabilize its squad amid a competitive Premier League campaign.

Currently positioned 10th in the league table, Chelsea is preparing to host Bournemouth on Saturday, aiming to climb the standings with a strong home performance.
