PlayStation has announced a special edition of the PlayStation 5 to coincide with the release of its upcoming exclusive title, Marvel’s Wolverine, scheduled for September 15. This limited edition console draws inspiration from Wolverine’s iconic yellow costume and features striking design elements that pay tribute to the character’s fierce persona.
The Marvel’s Wolverine Limited Edition PS5 is offered as a digital-only version, meaning it does not include a disc drive. Its design showcases the classic yellow hue of Wolverine’s suit, complemented by artwork of an enraged Wolverine across the top panel. Additionally, the console’s surface is adorned with graphics that evoke the sharp, adamantium claws for which the character is renowned.
Exclusive Design and Accessories
The package includes the digital edition console with its specially designed covers, a themed DualSense controller, and a digital code for the Marvel’s Wolverine game. This bundle is priced at $649.99. Notably, although images show a vertical stand, this accessory is not part of the package.
For those who already own a PS5 Slim or PS5 Pro and want to adopt the Wolverine aesthetic without purchasing a new console, PlayStation will offer the yellow console covers separately through the PlayStation Store. These covers will also be available for the disc drive version of the PS5.
Beyond the yellow-themed digital edition, the PlayStation 5 Pro will receive silver console covers crafted to resemble Wolverine’s adamantium claws. This version will come paired with a matching controller, expanding the options for fans who wish to customize their consoles with a Wolverine-inspired design.
