Grand Theft Auto VI is set to launch on November 19 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, following a familiar pattern established by Rockstar Games in previous releases. As expected, the game’s debut on PC will come later, with no official release date announced yet.

Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, addressed the PC release timing during the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting, emphasizing the platform’s growing significance. “The strategy of the company is over time, generally speaking, to launch for any platforms for which there’s a meaningful audience,” Zelnick explained, adding that the company remains flexible should market dynamics shift.

PC Release Strategy and Platform Importance

Although PC gamers will have to wait longer to experience GTA VI, Take-Two’s commitment to the platform remains strong. Zelnick highlighted that the PC platform is “becoming more and more important” to the company, signaling ongoing support for future titles on this medium. This approach is consistent with past Rockstar Games releases, including Red Dead Redemption 2 and earlier GTA installments, which also prioritized console launches before arriving on PC.

GTA 6 still has no release date on PC, but Take-Two’s CEO sends a message of hope to players: “It is becoming more and more important to our company”

Despite the delayed PC launch, Rockstar’s release roadmap remains unchanged, focusing initially on console platforms before expanding availability. This staggered rollout is intended to maximize impact across different gaming audiences while acknowledging the evolving importance of each platform in Take-Two’s overall strategy.
