UEFA has confirmed that the 2028 UEFA Champions League final will take place at the Allianz Arena in Munich, while the 2029 final is set to be held at the newly rebuilt Camp Nou in Barcelona. This announcement was made public on Tuesday, marking the return of two iconic venues to host Europe’s premier club competition finale.

Munich’s Allianz Arena last welcomed the Champions League final in 2025, a memorable occasion when Paris Saint-Germain secured their first title with an emphatic 5-0 win over Inter Milan. Meanwhile, the Camp Nou’s most recent Champions League final dates back to 1999, a dramatic match remembered for Manchester United’s two stoppage-time goals that overturned a 1-0 deficit to defeat Bayern Munich 2-1.

Spain will continue to play a prominent role in hosting the competition’s showpiece events, with the country also scheduled to stage the 2027 Champions League final at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid. This sequence of finals emphasizes UEFA’s trust in Spanish venues as key stages for top-tier European football.

Other UEFA Finals Locations Confirmed

Alongside the Champions League, UEFA has also assigned venues for other major European club competitions. The Europa League finals are slated for Bucharest in 2028 and Belgrade in 2029. Meanwhile, the Conference League finals will be held in Turin in 2028 and Budapest in 2029.

Additionally, the UEFA Super Cup will be hosted in Amsterdam in 2027 and Astana in 2028, showcasing a diverse range of footballing cities across Europe and beyond.

For women’s football, the UEFA Women’s Champions League finals will be staged in Lyon in 2028 and Cardiff in 2029, highlighting UEFA’s commitment to promoting the women’s game on prominent European stages.
