Rebel Wolves, the developer behind The Blood of Dawnwalker, has addressed the recent controversy regarding the absence of a promised 60 fps performance mode for the game’s console versions. Following criticism and concerns voiced by the gaming community, the studio has now confirmed that a performance mode will indeed be available at launch for both PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.

In an official statement, Rebel Wolves explained that they initially refrained from confirming performance mode because it was still undergoing rigorous testing. “On Friday, we answered your questions about console performance with what we knew we could confidently deliver at launch. Performance Mode was already in the works, but it was still being tested. We simply weren’t ready to promise it yet,” the studio stated.

Performance Mode Secured After Community Feedback

The developer emphasized that the strong response from fans played a significant role in accelerating the testing process. “We heard your feedback. It was clear how much this mattered to many of you, so we focused on finishing the next round of tests,” Rebel Wolves added. “Those results gave us the confidence we needed to confirm Performance Mode for Day 1.” This reassurance ensures gamers can expect smoother gameplay on next-generation consoles right from the game’s release.
