Peacock’s live-action adaptation of Dungeon Crawler Carl, based on Matt Dinniman’s bestselling novel, has made a significant stride by appointing Eric Heisserer as co-showrunner. Known for his work on Arrival and Shadow and Bone, Heisserer will collaborate with screenwriter Chris Yost to lead the series’ creative direction.

The production team also includes notable names such as Seth MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, and Rachel Hargreaves-Heald, all of whom will serve as executive producers. Additionally, Matt Dinniman, the original author, is set to contribute as a co-executive producer, ensuring the adaptation remains faithful to the source material.

While the casting for the series is ongoing, one key role has already been confirmed. Jeff Hays, who narrates and produces the widely acclaimed Dungeon Crawler Carl audiobooks, will return to voice the character of Princess Donut, a fan-favorite in the story.
