The 2027 Spanish Super Cup is set to be hosted in Turkey, with Istanbul’s Ataturk Olympic Stadium confirmed as the venue, according to an announcement made by the Spanish Football Federation on Thursday.

The tournament, structured as a Final Four event, will take place from February 2 to 7. The competition will bring together the top teams of Spanish football: Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Real Sociedad, as outlined in the federation’s official statement.

Change of Location Amid Scheduling Conflicts

Since 2020, Saudi Arabia has been the regular host of the Spanish Super Cup. However, the kingdom will not hold the event in 2027 due to a scheduling clash with the Asian Cup, Asia’s foremost men’s international football tournament, which takes place around the same time.

Barcelona enters the upcoming tournament as the reigning champions, having triumphed over Real Madrid in the 2026 final. The Spanish Super Cup traditionally features the winners and runners-up from both La Liga and the Copa del Rey, ensuring a showcase of the country’s elite clubs.
